PANELS - Custom designed for your applications.
Whether you have already established a color for your product line, or you choose to work with CCI professionals to create one, our Color Control Panels will help you keep your product's color, and identity, constant. Custom Color Panels are standards matched to your specifications. Our color matchers have a combined 75 years of experience in the color standards business, so you can be confident that they will create expert matches to your specified colors. Color Standards come in industry sizes of 4" x 6", 3" x 5", 8-1/2" x 11", or customized to your specifications. These standards can be generated on most common substrates or designed to replicate the substrates used in your production processes. We even provide you with the right texture and gloss levels to communicate color throughout your organization.
CCI COLOR TOLERANCE SETS - Defining Your Limits of Acceptability.
Once your
target color is defined, our color experts can determine the precise variations
(tolerances, limits, ranges) that you deem acceptable. We translate these tolerances into
physical standards called CCI Color Tolerance Sets. These sets, distributed throughout
your production processes, help ensure that everyone who works with your products' colors
stays within the acceptable range. These tolerance sets are traditionally available in 7
step variations with a CCI copyrighted format for easy usage.

Many of our
customers have unique requests to maintain quality. For example, the food industry relys
on our creative processes to help maintain quality standards for the grading and
specification of many food items. This sometimes requires the need for innovative
processes to create just the right color with the correct amount of texture and visual
appeal to meet specific color standards.
COLOR AND APPEARANCE - Keys to Exacting Standardization.
Color is only one aspect of a product's appearance. When creating your Color Standard, we look at all parts of the equation. Color and appearance attributes that may vary include gloss, texture, metallic or pearlescent finishes, opacity, substrate, and pigmentation capabilities. Our in-house capabilities allow us to give you numerous options in duplicating, reproducing, or simulating the appearance of your product or package color. These techniques utilize paper stocks, plastic, textured finishes, coating, spraying, printing, or molding to produce your custom standards.
LIGHTING AND VIEWING - Conditions for Examining Color.
The kind of light in which colors are viewed is critical to their appearance. So critical, in fact, that no color specification can be complete without describing the light sources that should be used for the evaluation process. We will help you define the lighting and viewing conditions that are a key to achieving consistent color.
At CCI, we are careful to avoid potential problems caused by improper lighting specifications. "Metamerism", in which colors match under some sets of lighting conditions but mismatch under others, is another critical area of concern. We have a wide variety of light sources and instruments under which we match color samples. Using these resources, we determine with you the proper light source before we match your colors.
